FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS
Do you worry about whether or not your kids are "on track" for a rewarding Life and
Career; or do you simply want to be certain that your kids are taking advantage of
every opportunity to both identify and develop their Talents to successfully
compete in an increasingly competitive World? If so, foundation for Success is
almost certainly for you.
Foundation for Success, a fun and highly interactive week-end long program for
Middle and High School students, has been specifically designed to not only
enable all participants to clarify what their underlying gifts or talents may
be; but to strengthen each of the four (4) personal aptitudes that drive "talent
development": Achievement Motivation; Endurance; Openness and Assertiveness.
Based on the most current research on "what it takes" to identify and nurture
talent, Foundation for Success is a joint effort of Peak Experiences and The
Competitive Edge. It draws not only on our enormously successful track record
in providing fun and challenging growth for Students, and families, over the
last 15 years; but on the work and research of Dr. Michael Wriston, President
of The Competitive Edge, Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond and
recognized expert on Leadership, High-Performance Team Development and Talent
Development.
This boot camp is designed to ensure that no one’s talent is wasted; and all
potential is realized. We have learned that there is no one set of ‘gifted
individuals’; people become gifted by developing various kinds of expertise.
Give your kids a "leg up" this year in recognizing and developing whatever their
natural "gifts" may be.
Like most things, there is both an "art" and a "science" to the development of
talent, and we explore both in-depth. In Foundation for Success students take
specific steps to significantly increase the likelihood that every talent they
choose to develop will bloom. This program is fun, interactive and a life changing
experience.
