ADVANCE FAT TIRE
This Camp is designed for our most passionate and experienced mountain bikers.
Advance Fat Tire Campers must have at least one session of Fat Tire under their belt as well as a nod from the Fat Tire Site Director to participate in this intense mountain bike experience. We will climb more, descend with more speed and control, corner, jump and learn some tricks too. As with all Passages Programs, the real attraction to our Camps is our can-do atmosphere and our incredible Staff.
This relentless week will take Campers all over the Park System as well as trips to the Richmond BMX Track, Pocahontas State Park, Leakes Mill, and Freedom Park in Williamsburg. Campers must bring their own mountain bike and helmet to Camp. We will be happy to lock it up in our enclosed trailer all week. We play hard every day and refresh with a swim in the James River to rinse off all that dirt! One of our goals is to prepare our riders to become future Passages Mountain Bike Staff by focusing on critical mountain bike hard skills but also the equally important soft skills.

Our Fat Tire Site Directors have hand-selected you for Advance Fat Tire! During Fat Tire they saw your strength as a rider and knew you could be challenged even more. During advance camp you will be able to ride different trails, learn new skills, and ride with advanced riders including the staff as well as the other campers. We ride different trails every single day and typically clock 50-60 miles in a single week. We cover a ton of ground to give our Campers the greatest opportunity to improve and enjoy. Expect to see big improvements in your ability to negotiate challenging terrain on a bike.
